Born in Richland County, he was a son of the late John Wade Moak and Mary Goff Moak. He was a retired deputy sheriff and farmer.
Mr. Moak was reared by his stepmother, the late Elizabeth Goff Moak
Surviving were his widow, Mrs. Kate Branham Moak; six daughters, Mrs. Carl Fisher of Rock Hill and Mrs. Leroy Brown, Mrs. Bobby Jeffers, Mrs. Algie Campbell, Jr., Mrs. Tommy Anderson and Mrs. Harold Brown; three sons, Jack E Moak of Lugoff, Andrew T. “Hammy” Moak and John L Moak, Jr. of Elgin; a sister, Mrs. David Jeffers of Camden; two brothers, Lexie Moak and Lonnie Moak of Elgin; 23 grandchildren, and a great-grandchildren.
Services will be 4 p.m., Monday, March 19, 1978 at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church.
