ELGIN- A 16-year-old senior at Lugoff-Elgin High School has parlayed a nine-year love of piano into a pair of scholarships at Columbia College.

Rejena Miles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Ray Miles of Lugoff, was awarded a general music scholarship for four years and a studio scholarship for four years.

Completing high school in three years, she will be the third honor graduate in her class tomorrow night.

Miss Miles began her piano career while in the third grade at Blaney Elementary School in Elgin. Her musical taste ranges from classical to popular to religious music.
