Funeral services for Norman Talmadge Cook will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. from the First Church of God, Covenant Road, conducted by the Rev. W. A. Jackson and the Rev. Wayne Scott Norman. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Cook, a retired 30-year member of the Columbia Police Dept., of 6636 Frances St., died yesterday in the Kershaw County Hospital.

He was “outside salesman” for Buck-A-Cup fund raising for Crippled Children for the Columbia Police Department.

He was born in Blaney, a son of the late Samuel Lewis Cook and Daisy Irene Cook. He was a member of the First Church of God.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elsie Beverly Cook; a daughter, Mrs. Norma Jean Ernst; a son, David L. Cook of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Perry of Cassatt and Mrs. Pauline Baldwin, and a brother, Sanford Cook of Lexington.

Dunbar Funeral Home, Devin Street Chapel is in charge.

Retired Policeman N. T. Cook Dies

Norman Talmadge Cook, a retired 30-year member of the Columbia Police Dept. of 6636 Frances St., died Wednesday in the Kershaw County Hospital.

He was born in Blaney, a son of the late Samuel Lewis and Daisy Irene Cook. He was a member of the First Church of God.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Elsie Cook; a daughter, Mrs. Norma Jean Ernst; a son, Davis L Cook of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Perry of Cassatt and Mrs. Pauline Baldwin; and a brother, Sandford Cook of Lexington.

Plans will be announced by Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
