They shared their home with children, Maud Rose (17), Amelia Rose (15), Boykin Rose (13), Eva Rose (10), Allice Rose (8), Mamie Rose (6), Lena Rose (4), Norman Rose (3), Lillie Rose (5 months) and Clelly Rose (5 months). Norman Kennedy Rose, Sr, 67, of 316 Rabon Road, died yesterday, March 28, 1974, in Providence Hospital.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 4 p.m. in Blaney Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. James W. Salter and the Rev. Dean S. Clyde. The body will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Born in Kershaw County, a son of the late Adolphus K. Rose and Roxie Christmus Rose, he was a member of Blaney Baptist Church and was retired manager of Farmer’s Supply at Elgin.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Roberta Rose; a son, Norman Kennedy Rose Jr. of Charlotte, N. C.; seven sister, Mrs. C. M. (Amelia) Flaherty Sr., Mrs. J. F. (Eva) Eddleman, Miss Allie Rose, Mrs. B. F. ( Louise) Whaley, Mrs. David (Lilly) Harrison, and Mrs. H. F. (Clelye) Murphy, all of Columbia, Mrs. Roger (Lena) Williams of Ogden, Utah; and a brother, B. K. Rose Sr., of Elgin.
Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel, is in charge.
Pallbearers will be Frank Whaley, B. K. Rose Jr., Ferrell Rose, Luther Kelly, Norwood Kelly, C. M. Flaherty Jr. H. F. Murphy Jr. and Randolph Ward.
