Hallie T. Jeffers, 82, of 1642 Curry street, died yesterday in Providence Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late Joel Jeffers and Lucy Hayes Jeffers. Mr. Jeffers was an insurance salesman before retirement.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Kate Branham Jeffers; a daughter, Miss Lucy Mae Jeffers; a son, Henry T. Jeffers of Blythewood; two grandsons of Columbia; and six great children.

Plans will be announced by Thompson Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Hallie T. Jeffers will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow in Union Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Jim Ivey and the Rev. Mr. Alvin B. O’Shields.

Mr. Jeffers, 82, of 1624 Curry street, died Wednesday.

He was born in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late Joel Jeffers and Lucy Hayes Jeffers. He lived in Columbia for the past 30 years and was a retired insurance salesman.

Mr. Jeffers was a member of Union Baptist Church in Elgin.
