Carns – Monroe

ELGIN – The wedding of Miss Cynthia Jeanette Monroe and Michael DeWayne Carns took place Friday at 7 p.m. in Union Baptist Church. The Rev. Quay Adams and the Rev. Jim Ivey officiated.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Fellowship Building of the church.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, the couple will make their home in Elgin.

The bride is a graduate of Spring Valley High School and is employed by Blue Cross. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gillyard Percival Monroe, Jr.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mike Carns, the bridegroom was graduated from Blaney High School and attended Midlands TEC. He is employed by Hewitt-Robbins.
