Pro-Stock Meet Set At Blaney

This Saturday night the Blaney Drag Strip in Elgin will feature a Motorcycle Stunt Show with “California Wildman” Kenny Brown. Brown will be performing numbers of daredevil stunts which include jumping off his motorcycle at 80 miles per hour, and sliding behind it as he holds to the rear of the seat. Brown wears steel- bottom shoes, which trail sparks 30 feet behind him.

In addition to the stunt show, a big Pro-Stock Meet is on the slate of events. Several of the nation’s top Pro drivers such as Reid Whisant and Hubert Platt will be in the line-up. A $30,000 purse is being offered and all N. H. R. A. classes and E. T. Bracket classes will be competing.

Time trials begin at 3:00 p.m. and racing gets underway at 7:30 p.m.
