Funeral services for Fay Boyd Cooper Sr. will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Talbert-Shives Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. John Griffith. Burial will be in Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery in Kershaw county.

Friends may call at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Cooper in Blythewood and the funeral home.

Mr. Cooper, 81, of 5237 Mauldin St., died yesterday in a local hospital.

He was born in Richland county, a son of the late M. L. Cooper and Isabell Smith Cooper. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, a former employe of the South Carolina State Hospital and a retired farmer.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Melba Smith and Mrs. Nell Jenkins of Columbia; four sons, Edward B. Cooper of Blythewood and Fay B. Cooper, Jr., Herbert D. Cooper and A. B. Cooper of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Marguerite Smith of Tabor, City, N. C.; and three brothers, Mars Cooper of Louisiana, H. P. Cooper of Clemson and W. B. Cooper of Blythewood.

Pallbearers will be Wallace Cooper, Ralph Cooper, Jr., Joe Belton Brown, Grover Branham, Caliph Branham and Leroy Crumpton.
