John Gary Heath, 73, of 6841 Satchel Ford Rd., died today, August 30, 1968 in Columbia Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. in Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church in Elgin. The Rev. N. D. Sellers and the Rev. George E Turbeville will officiate.

Born in Kershaw County, he was the son of the late Henry and Bell Motley Heath. He was a member of Bayview Baptist Church and a retired textile employee.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Laura Cook Heath; six daughters, Mrs. Mabel Higgins of Columbia, Mrs. Marie Cameron of Lugoff, Mrs. Inez Brown, Mrs. Nell Clark, Mrs. Eleene Dabbs, and Mrs. Irene Anderson all of Columbia; 23 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs.  Mary Branham of Camden and a brother, Ollie Heath of Columbia.
