Deputies Charge 8 With Gambling

Richland County sheriff’s deputies raided a Two Notch Road nightspot over the weekend and charged eight person with gambling.

The raid occurred early Saturday (April 1, 1978) morning at the Tavern Club at 8600 Two Notch Road. During the raid, deputies seized $1,046, three decks of playing cards and five dice.

The operator of the club, Joe Isenhoward Jr., 50, of 1655 Ramor Road, was charged with maintaining a gambling house and violating the state’s liquor laws. He was released on a $2,000 surety bond.

Seven others were charged with gambling and released on personal recognizance bonds.

They were identified as William Henry Coker, 44, of 7206 Nancy St., Marvin Fuqua, 45, of 8748 Two Notch Road, Tim D Cannaday, 31, of 1701 Bywood Drive, Rodney Ernest Hornsby , 39, of 703 Witmell St; Stephen Michael Hornsby, 26, of 705 Ross Road; Randolph Dinkins, 38, of Box 101 Dawning Lane, and Paul Wesley Lee, 33, of Edgewater, Fla.
