Willard Verner Paschal was born January 13, 1916 in Blaney, the son of Chesley M. Paschal and Adlee Hodge Paschal.

Willard V. Paschal, owner and operator of Paschal Funeral Home, died today at his residence after a long illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in College Place Methodist Church by the the Rev. Eben Taylor and the Rev. James Ernest Marchant. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Mr. Paschal, 50, was born in Blaney, the son of the late Chesley M. Paschal and Adlee Hodge Paschal.

He was active in the funeral profession for 25 years and was a member of College and Broad River Masonic Lodge. He was an employe of the Columbia Police Department for a number of years before entering his career in Funeral services at McCormick Funeral Home 25 years ago. He was graduated from the Renouard School Training for Embalmers in 1946, when he opened his own mortuary.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Frances Koon Paschal; four sons, J. Ernest Paschal, Frank V. Paschal, Jake L. Paschal and David Paschal; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Goff of Elgin and Mrs. Gertrude Martin of Columbia; three brothers, Otis Paschal, B. E. Paschal, and H. V. Paschal, and a number of nieces and nephews
