Kershaw Gins First Cotton

CAMDEN (Special) – Kershaw County ginned its first bale of cotton from the 1960 crop Friday.

E. T. Bowen reports that his gin at Blaney processed a 410-pound bale for E. L. Sessions of Blaney.

The county’s first bale graded middling, one and one-thirty-second and according to Bowen, qualified for 34.17 cents per pound in the government’s price support program.
