CAMDEN (Special) – Law enforcement officers do not suspect foul play in the death of J. Elmore Jeffers, 64-year-old Blaney farmer, who was found dead early Saturday morning in the Wateree swamp after a 12-hour all-night search by more than 100 persons. The family had reported that the Kershaw County farmer had gone hunting. An autopsy revealed the cause of the death as heart attack.
