Lester Elbert Brown was born March 30, 1919 in Blaney, South Carolina, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie C. Brown.

1958

Funeral services for Lester E. Brown will held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 in Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Marvin Cameron and the Rev. Wylie Evans. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Brown, 39, of Blaney, died Thursday morning in the Veterans’ Hospital.

He was born in Blaney, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leslie C. Brown.

He was a farmer and a member of the Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are his foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lexie Moak, Blaney; his widow, Mrs. Louise Martin Brown; two daughter, Jeannette Brown and Diane Brown, both of Blaney; two half-sisters, Mrs. Elsie McLeod of Laurens and Mrs. Ophelia Hinson of Camden; Two brothers, Leslie Brown of West Monroe, La., and Thomas Brown of Wildwood, Fla., and two half-brothers, Maxie C. Brown of Columbia and Curtis Brown of Charleston.

Members of the Young Men’s Bible Class will serve as active pallbearers.

Friends may call at the residence.
