Luther Miles was buried on 22 Oct 1958 in Elgin, Kershaw, South Carolina, USA at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. His cause of death was bilateral congenital polycystic kidneys with terminal uremia.

LUTHER MILES

BLANEY – Services were to be conducted for Luther Miles, 45, at 5 o’clock today in Union Baptist Church by the Rev. George Partridge, the Rev. Dean Clyde and the Rev. Mr. Franklin. Burial was to follow in the church cemetery. Kershaw Masonic Lodge No. 29 will have charge of the graveside services.

Luther Miles, 45, of Blaney

BLANEY (Special) – Luther Miles, 45, World War Two Navy veteran, died at the Veterans Hospital, Columbia, Monday night after an extended illness.

Mr. Miles operated the Blaney Motel and the Blaney Ladies Ready to Wear Shop. Born in Florence County, he was the son of L. J. Miles and the late Mrs. Eva Fryer Miles.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie McKenzie Miles of Blaney; three daughters, Kathy Miles and Faye Miles of the home, and Mrs. Douglas Cooper of Blaney, and his father of Blaney.

Mr. Miles was a member of the James Leroy Belk Post of the American Legion and a member of the Kershaw Masonic Lodge No. 29

Funeral services will be conducted from the Union Baptist Church at at 5 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. George Partridge, the Rev. Dean Clyde and the Rev. Mr. Franklin. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church two hours before the services. Kershaw Masonic Lodge No. 29 will have charge of graveside service. The body is at the Kornegay Funeral Home.
