Miles-Goff Marriage Solemnized

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Miles of Columbia announce the marriage of their daughter. Mary Alice, to Gary Arthur Goff Jr., son of Gary Arthur Goff Sr. of Blaney and the late Mrs. Ruth Goff.

The wedding took place at 12 o’clock, noon, June 28 in the Macedonia Baptist Church. The Rev. C. M. Joye, pastor of the bride, officiated, using the double ring ceremony, in the presence of relatives and a few friends.

The wedding music was rendered by Mrs. C. M. Joye, organist.

Mrs. William Frank Jr., cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a street length dress of pink lace over taffeta with white accessories, and corsage of pink carnations.

Jimmy Miles, brother of the bride, was best man.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a waltz length dress of white organdy over taffeta with white accessories, and carried a bouquet of white carnations.

During the afternoon the bride and bridegroom left for their wedding trip to the mountains of North Carolina. For traveling the bride wore a purple sheath skirt and blouse of white nylon and lace, with white accessories.

The young couple are making their home in Blaney.
