1900 Census Information:
According to the 1900 United States Census recorded on June 25, 1900, Benjamin Nelson (45) owned a farm in Wateree Township, in Kershaw County, South Carolina, with whom he shared with his wife of 21 years, Henretta Nelson (40). She reported that she was the mother of 8 children all of which were still living. Also in the home were their children, Frank Nelson (19), Alice Nelson (18), Minnie Nelson (17), Logan Nelson (15), Cora Nelson (12), Jessee Nelson (10) George Nelson (7) and Eunice Nelson (4). All of the household members were reported to have been born in South Carolina. Benjamin Nelson was a farmer, while Frank Nelson, Alice Nelson, Minnie Nelson, Logan Nelson, Cora Nelson, and Jessee Nelson were all farm laborers.
1910 Census Information:
According to the 1910 United States Census recorded on April 20, 1910, William B Nelson (55) owned a farm in Wateree Township, in Kershaw County, South Carolina, with whom he shared with his wife of 30 years, Henretta Nelson (50). Also in the home were their children, Minnie Nelson (25), Logan Nelson (22), Cora Nelson (19) Jerry Nelson (17), George Nelson (15), Eunice Nelson (13) and Effie Nelson (7). Benjamin Nelson was a farmer on a general farm, while Minnie Nelson, Logan Nelson, Cora Nelson, Jerry Nelson and George Nelson were laborers on the home farm.

Mrs. Marsh, 72, of Rt. 3, Columbia, died at her home Tuesday night.
She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Nelson and Henrietta Proctor Nelson.
Mrs. Marsh was a member of the Church of God at Blythewood.

Surviving are her husband, Issachar Marsh of the home; three daughters, Miss Sadie Marsh, Miss Beulah Marsh and Miss Letha Marsh; two sons, David Marsh and Mordecai Marsh, all of Rt. 3; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Morgan, Mrs. Cora Sceley and Mrs. Eunice Ross, all of Blaney and Mrs. Effie Robbins of Columbia; and four brothers, Franklin Nelson and Logan Nelson, both of Blaney, and Jesse Nelson and George Nelson, both of Columbia.
The body is at Paschal Funeral Home.
Mrs. Marsh Dies At Her Home
Mrs. Minnie Henrietta Marsh, 72, died at her home at Columbia, Route 3, at 9:55 last night following an extended illness.
She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Nelson and Henrietta Proctor Nelson.
Mrs. Marsh was a member of the Church of God at Blythewood.
Surviving are her husband, Issachar Marsh of the home; three daughters, Miss Sadie Marsh, Miss Beulah Marsh and Miss Letha Marsh, all of the home; two sons, David Marsh and Mordecai Marsh, both of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Morgan, Mrs. Cora Sceley and Mrs. Eunice Ross, all of Blaney and Mrs. Effie Robbins of Columbia; and four brothers, Franklin Nelson and Logan Nelson, both of Blaney, and Jesse Nelson and George Nelson, both of Columbia.

Mrs. Marsh’s Funeral Today
Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Henrietta Marsh, 72, of Route 3, Columbia, will be held at 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon from the Union Baptist Church, Blaney, conducted by the Rev. Lloyd Weed, and assisted by the Rev. Dewey Kitchen, and the Rev. George Partridge. Interment will be in the churchyard.
Mrs. Marsh died at her home on Tuesday.
She is survived by her husband, Issachar Marsh of the home; three daughters, Miss Sadie Marsh, Miss Beulah Marsh, all of the home; two sons, David Marsh and Mordecai Marsh, both of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Morgan, Mrs. Cora Sceley and Mrs. Eunice Ross and Effie Florence Nelson Roberts, all of Blaney; and four brothers, Franklin Nelson and Logan Nelson, Both of Blaney, and Jesse Nelson and George Nelson, both of Columbia.
Active pallbearers were Ebbie Branham, Benny Brazell, Lexie Moak, Leslie Moak, Walter Ross and Flem Ross.
Honorary pallbearers were J. T. Bryant, Jesse Ross, Zack Bowen, Walter Miles, David Brazell, Gary Goff, Anderson Goff, Art T Cook, John W Wise, the Rev. Louis Goude, the Rev. C. H. Culclasure and Frank Jordan.
Active pallbearers will met at the residence at 3:15 and the honorary pallbearers met at the church at 3:55. The body was take to the home at 10 o’clock Thursday morning.
