Mamie Lee “Minnie” Byrd Holley

Mamie Lee “Minnie” Byrd Holley was born November 10, 1881, to William C Bird and Nancy Catherine Catoe Bird

Mrs. Mamie Lee Byrd Holley, 74, of the Mt. Pisgah community, died, March 11, 1956 in a Camden hospital after a short illness.

Survivors include her husband, John Holley; five daughters, Mrs. Everett Clark and Mrs. Paul Hinson of Kershaw, and Mrs. H. F. Catoe, Mrs. Woodrow Lingle and Mrs. Olin Byrd of Columbia; three sons, Broadus Holley and Floyd Holley of Jefferson and Joe Holley of Kershaw; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Gilliam of Ware Shoals; three brothers, Leonard of Florence, and John and Y. T. Byrd of Jefferson; 18 grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. Monday, March 12, 1956, from the Mt. Pisah Baptist Church by the Rev. M. B. Gunter and the Rev. J. B. Caston. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The body will be taken to the church an hour before the service.
