Mary Letitia Morrison Simpson

1887

Mary was born on December 16, 1887,  in Morven, Anson County, North Carolina, a daughter of Richard Columbus Morrison and Kate Davidson Morrison Morrison.

1900 Census Information:

According to the United States census reported on June 23, 1900, Richard C Morrison (38) rented a home in Rutherford County, North Carolina with his wife of 6 years, Allis E Morrison (25). She was reported to be the mother of 3 living children. Also in the home was his daughter from a previous marriage, Mary L Morrison (13), and his children with his current wife; Roy W Morrison (5), Alice G Morrison (3) and Richard C Morrison (1 month old). All family members were reported to have been born in North Carolina.

1920 Census Information:

According to the United States census reported on January 5, 1920, Arthur T Simpson (35) rented a home in Wateree Township, Kershaw County, South Carolina, with his wife Mary L Simpson (32) and their son Arthur T Simpson, Jr (3). All family members were reported to have been born in South Carolina, except for Mary who was born in South Carolina. Arthur T Simpson was a farmer and Mary L Simpson was a teacher in a public school.
