BLANEY – Services for John Wade Moak, 76-year-old retired farmer of Rte. 2, were conducted at 3 p.m. today by the Rev. Leonard Gardner at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, Blaney. Interment was to be in the church cemetery.

J. W. Moak of Blaney Dies

John Wade Moak, age 76, retired farmer of Rt. 2, Blaney, died, at his residence at 8 o’clock after an extended illness.

Mr. Moak was born December 25, 1883 in Eastover, a son of the late Henry J. Moak and Martha Motley Moak but had lived in Blaney for the past 45 years.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Eliza Goff Moak, one daughter, Mrs. David Jeffers; four sons, Lexie Moak, Leslie Moak, Elmer Moak, and Lonnie Moak all of Blaney; one sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Livingston, Blaney; 27 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, Blaney, at 3 o’clock, this afternoon conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Leonard Gardner. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
