Lucy Ella Branham Aldrich was born in January 24, 1877 to William Brannon and Mary Cook Branham.

Lucy Ella Branham Aldrich, 77, mother of Mrs. Arthur Riddock of Hendley Homes, died November 28, 1954, at the home of another daughter, Mrs. Eva Raybon Gladden of Winnsoboro.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Aldrich were conducted Tuesday, November 30, 1954 at 11 a.m. at the Pine Grove Baptist Church at Lugoff by the pastor, the Rev. A. L. Wood, the Rev. Leslie Kirkland and the Rev. William Clyde. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Survivors included, in addition to her two daughters, one son, J. D. Aldrich of Route 2, Lugoff; one sister, Mrs. M. C. Hayes of Columbia; 23 grandchildren; and 33 great grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be grandsons; Everett Raybon, Clyde Raybon, Ed Aldrich, Herbert Aldrich, Newman Aldrich, Rembert Aldrich, Leslie Aldrich, Ralph McLeod and Alvin McLeod.

Honorary pallbearers will be Howell Jeffers, Enis Richardson, Dr. J. B. Floyd, A. L. Jacob, Sady Lee, Ernest Miles, Heyward Kirkland, Ernest Kirkland, D. C. Higgins, Fred Miles. Ben Harrison, Lonnie Bowen, David Jeffers, Vernon Brazell, Wesley Starling, Leslie Moak, Leo Wallace, W. L. Gladden, R. R. Tucker, Joe Jonson, John Shannon, H. W. Porter, C. M. Porter, and O. C. Jordan.

The body was at the Harden Funeral Home in Winnsboro. It was taken to the home of A. M. Porter at Lugoff on November 29, and remained there until the time of services.
