Mary Annie Sharpe Branham

Annie Sharpe Branham was born on October 18, 1881 to William Augustus Sharpe and Mary Elizabeth Miles Sharpe.

1900

Annie Sharp was counted in the census on 13 Jun 1900 in Ridgeway, Fairfield, South Carolina, USA, as a 15-year-old, female, single, white, daughter. Also in the home was her father, William Sharp; and her mother, Mary Sharp; and her siblings, Walter, Sharp, Johnny Sharp, Charnel Sharp, Arther Sharp, Katy Sharp, Fou?ter Sharp, Jennie Sharp, Team Sharp, and Eddie Sharp.

1949

On January 31, 1949, Mrs. Lawrence Branham was listed as the living sister in the obituary of Walter Sharp.

1953

Annie Sharpe Branham, 73,  died Saturday, October 24, 1953 at the home of a son at Blaney.

She had spent the greater part of her life in the Blaney community and was a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church.

Funeral services  for Mrs. Branham were to be conducted at 3 o’clock, October 26, 1953 from the Sandy Level Baptist Church of Blythewood, by the Rev. B. C. Franklin, the Rev. A. L. Wood and the Rev. John Atkinson. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Branham of Blaney; four sons, Mack Branham, Brooks Branham, Willis Branham, and Crenshaw Branham, all of Blaney: one sister, Mrs. Katie Boone of Pontiac; five brothers, A. C. Sharpe, J. C. Sharpe, Charnell Sharpe, Feaster Sharpe and E. C. Sharpe, all of Columbia; 13 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be six nephews, Gussie Boone, Willie Sharpe, Blease Sharpe, Arthur Lee Sharp, Henry Sharpe and Curtis Sharpe.

Honorary pallbearers will be  D. W. Ruff, E. T. Bowen, C. W. Wooten, Dr. Robert A Cochran, Walter Ross, Frank Nelson, B. K. Rose, Norman Rose, Owens Grigsby, Clyde Boykin, A. D. Goff, Ed Campbell, J. E. Kelly, Ernest Paschal, William Martin, A. B. Nelson, G. A. Dowey, Willard Coker, J. D. Watson, Otis Goff, Charlie Emanuel. Eddie Ross, Jack Morgan, Gary Goff, Leo Rose, Leslie Moak, Lexie Moak, Woodrow Ross, S. H. Ross, Dalton Goff, Tom Branham and George Ross.

Active pallbearers were to meet at 2 o’clock at the residence, and honorary at 2:55 at the church.
