Cayce – (Special) – The Susannah Wesley circle of Cayce Methodist will meet at 8 p. m. Tuesday with Mrs. Ralph Riley. 

Mrs. Lillie Derrick of Swansea was the week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Porcher.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ray’s guest last week-end was B. T. Ray of Bishopville.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Young spent last week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Howard in Statesburg.

J. E. Davis spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Heckle in St. Matthews. 

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Addy and children, Libby and Eddie, D. A. Brown and Beth Byrd spent last Sunday with Mr. Brown’s sister, Mrs. Lizzie Perry in Blaney. 

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ray and B. T. Ray, visited Mr. and Mrs. Nick Ray in Lugoff. 

Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Reese of Hamlet, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Reese of Florence, Mrs. R. M. Bateman and Mrs. Maude White of Sumter, were the guests of Mrs. W. S. Rikard and A. H. Reese last Sunday. 

Guests of Mrs. Dan Linder last week were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Claxton of Walterboro.

Mrs. C. R. Vaughn spent last Saturday with relatives in Bethune. 

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Linder. Jr., and children, Bernice and Ellen of Erwin, Tenn., spent the past weekend with :Mrs. Dan Linder.

Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Rozier spent Sunday with relatives in Bethune.

Mr. and Mrs. Belton Hughes and family, Mildred and Rudolph, spent Sunday with relatives in Orangeburg.

Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Craig and children, Bobby and Marilyn, spent Sunday with Mrs. J. R. Stewart at Manning.

Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Scharpf, Sr., spent Sunday with Mrs. Scharf’s mother, Mrs. O. J. C. Lane, in Olar.

Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Connor, Sr., and children, M. D., Jr., and Vickie Lou, spent last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Gallin in Hartsville.

The Allie Reaves circle of the Cayce Methodist church will meet Monday night with Mrs. T. F. Van Keuren. 

Mr. and Mrs. George Jeffcoat and son, Eddie, spent last week-end with Mr. and Mrs.W. H. Jeffcoat in Savannah, Ga.

Mr. and Mrs. W. D. White and children, Randy, Ralph and David of North Charleston were the guest Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Bishop.

Mrs. Dan Linder, Sr., is spending some time in Raleigh, N. C., with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Linder.

Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Spires and Mrs. T. B. Wingard attended the funeral of Mrs. Minnie Bodie at Kings Grove Baptist church Tuesday.

The Intermediate Girls’ auziliary of the Cayce Baptist church met with Mrs. John Farmer. The meeting was opened with prayer by Miss Barbara Spigner. The topic for discussion was “The Star Ideals” and it was presented by Misses Melba Raines, Shirley Bodie, Luretta Howell, Patsy Gaskin and Anne Medders. A general business discussion was held, during which plans were made to attend summer camp at Camp Rals; also to fix May baskets for Shut-Ins. The meeting was closed with the the Girls’ auxilliary allegiance, Refresimetns were served by the hostess, Mrs. Farmer to Misses Catherine Sistare, Carolyn Busbee, Melba Raines, Shirly Bodie, Luretta Howell, Patsy Gaskin and Anne Medders.

The Louise Bell circle of the Cayce Methodist church held its May meeting with Mrs. J. C. Crosby We\dnesday afternoon. Mrs. Lever, leader, called the meeting to order and Mrs. Essie Mooneyham, program leader, opened with the devotional, followed by prayer. “Help Somebody Today” was sung by the group. An interesting program entitled, “What Is That In Thine Hand,” was presented by Mrs. B. B. McEntire, Mrs. C. C. Byrd and Mrs. J. C. Crosby. The business session followed. Minutes and reports were heard, after which the meeting was closed with prayer. Mrs. Crosby, hostess, served delicious refreshments to Mrs. Essie Mooneyhan, Miss Jessie Drafts, Mrs. J. J. Lever, Mrs. C. C. Byrd, Mrs. T. C. Backman, Mrs. C. R. Vaughn, Mrs. J. A. Weaver, Mrs. Eunice Dobson, Mrs. B. B. McEntire and MRs. T. B. Wingard.

The Frances Roberts Young Women’s auxiliary of State Street Baptist church, met with Mrs. A. P. Warren, Jr. The meeting opened with prayer by Miss Shirley Galloway, president. Mrs. A. P. Warren, Jr., gave the devotional followed by the group singing “O Warship – The King.” The program consisting of “Private Devotional Life in the Home” by Miss Carolyn Dunn; “Planing for Family Worship” by Miss Gloria Mixon; “Missionary Homes of the Bible” by Miss Gloria Warren, and “The Influence of a Christian Home” by Miss Jackie Few. The program closed with prayer by Miss Roberta Metcalf. A short business session was held with reports from various committees, Refreshments were served by Mrs. Warren, hostess to Misses Carolyn Dunn, Gloria Mixon, Mary Williams, Jackie Few, Shirley Galloway, Margie McRae, Roberta Methcalf, Gloria Warren, Sandra Smith and Gary Smith and Mrs. Bruce Smith.

The Amanda Craps circle of the Cayce Methodist church met Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. H. E. Addy, Mrs. T. M. Vaiden, leader, called the meeting to order. Mrs. T. E. Tallon, program leader, opened with the call to worship. The devotional was given by Mrs. Lilly Edwards, followed by prayer by Mrs. Thomas Edwards. The hymn, “Something For Thee,” was sung. The topic for the afternoon was “What ls That in Thine Hand.'” and was presented by Mrs. Tallon. Mrs. Vaiden, Mrs. R. C. Chambers and Mrs. A. D. Spires. The hymn, “Help Somebody Today,” was sung by the group, followed by prayer, closing the program. The business session was conducted by the leader. Various reports were given and a general discussion was held, after which the hostess, Mrs. H. E. Addy, served delicious refreshment to Mrs. T. E. Tallon. Mrs. T. M. Vaiden, Mrs. C. E. Lybraind, Mrs. W. A Thomas, Mrs. A. D. Spires, Mrs. Leila Manuel, Mrs. A. P. Rozier, Mrs. Grover Geiger, Mrs. R. H. Chambers and Mrs. Lillie Edwards.
