BLANEY, Jan 18 – Funeral services for Lewis Brown, 73, were to be conducted today at 11 a.m. at the Union Baptist Church and burial was to be in the Union Baptist Cemetery. His cause of death was congestive heart failure.

Blaney Carpenter, 73, Dies; Rites Today From Union Baptist Church

Blaney, Jan. 17 – (Special) – Lewis Brown, 73, died at 9:30 Thursday morning. Mr. Brown was born at Blaney, the son of the late George W. Brown and Amanda Goff Brown. He had been engaged in carpentry work in this community for the past 18 years.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock Friday morning from the Union Baptist Church, with the Rev. George Partridge officiating. Interment will be in the Union Baptist cemetery.

The funeral part will leave the Kornegay funeral home at 10:30 Friday morning.
