Maggie Ross Kirkland was born August 22, 1897 in Blaney, South Carolina, a daughter of Rulus Benjamen Ross and Dora Susan Graham Ross.

Mrs. Maggie Ross Kirkland, 54, died at the Camden hospital at 11 o’clock Sunday night.
Mrs. Kirkland was born in Blaney, the daughter of the late R. B. Ross and Dora Graham Ross. She had spent her entire life in the Lugoff community and was a member of the Concord Baptist church.
She is survived by her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Clara Truesdale of Winnsboro, and Mrs. T. B. Campbell of Blaney; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock this morning from the Concord baptist church, conducted by Doctor A. S. Lockee and the Reverend L. K. Kirkland. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be A. J. Truesdale and R. B. Truesdale of Winnsboro, Franklyn Kirland and Powell Kirkland, both of Lugoff, and Herbert Campbell and Frank Campbell, both of Blaney.
Honorary pallbearers will be Doctor F. Grayson Shaw, Edwin P. Guy, Light Boan, Fred Ogburn, Joe Outlaw, Sheriff Eugene Moseley, E. T. Bowen, L. P. Rose, John Lee, Arnold Lee, Karl Roseborough, Henry Koon, Dave Higgins, Heyward Higgins, Henry Boulware, DeWitt Branham, A. E. Kennedy and Sadie Lee.
