SC School Plans and Faculties Listed


Blaney – The Blaney public school will open for the 1951-52 session on Thursday, September 6, at 9 a.m., according to an announcement by H. W. Rast, superintendent. A teachers’ meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 5 at 3:30 p.m.

The faculty has been named as follows:

First grade, Mrs. Charles E. DeLoaches and Mrs. Ruth B. King; second grade, Mrs. George D. Bennett; third grade, Mrs. Sally Koon; fourth grade, Mrs. H. W. Rast; fifth grade, Mrs. Elizabeth Rose; sixth grade, Mrs. Katherine B. Cribb.

High School: H. E. Burns, principal, history and science: Mrs. George H. Thompkins, English and history; Miss Vera Copeland, home economics and science: Mrs. Frances I. Holman, English and social studies: Leon Whetstone, Commerce and mathematics; Raymond F. Taylor, agriculture; and Mrs. Carol H. Hall, piano and pubic school music.

Parents who have children entering the first grade are urged to secure birth certificates for their children who will have reached their sixth birthday before November 1, 1951.

Druing the past summer, the work of remodeling and improving the buildings has been underway.

The trustees of the Blaney high school district 4 are; J. D. Watson, chairman; D. G. McLeod, vice chairman; W. L. Miles, clerk; Adolphus Dowey, Fred Miles, W. H. Koon and J. B. Branham
