Jesse Walter Starling was born in 1884
Jesse Walter Starling, 65, of Eastover died here at his residence this morning, April 28, 1949.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sallie Bell Goff Starling, one daughter, Mrs. Odis Hill, Eastover; four sons, Henry Thomas Starling, Ernest Ralph Starling, both of Columbia, Elton Starling and Jesse Edward Starling, both of Florence; three sister, Mrs. Carrie Jones of Columbia, Mrs. Lottie Goff of Lykesland and Mrs. Marie Wise of Blaney; one brother, Shelton Starling and three grandchildren, William Odis Hill, Jerldine Hill and Peggy Ann Starling.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 30, 1949. at 11 a m, at the Mr. Elm Baptist church by the Rev. A. S. Locke and burial will be in the churchyard.
Active pallbearers were six nephews: Webster Goff, Oliver Goff, Willie Goff, Heyward Goff, Wesley Starling, and Clarence Jones.
