Miss Minnie Grace Watson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Watson (Clemmie Eloise Flaherty Watson) of Blaney will become the bride of Marshall Clinton Jeffers of Blaney, in a ceremony taking place at 8 o’clock Sunday evening, June 13, in Blaney Baptist Church. The Rev. George Walker, pastor, is to officiate. Mrs. Harry Weber of Columbia, pianist, and Miss Syderais Ross, vocal soloist, will furnish the wedding music.
Miss Watson, who is to be given in marriage by her father, James D. Watson, Sr., will have for her maid of honor, Miss Louise Senn of Newberry, and for her matron of honor, Mrs. J. D. Watson, Jr., (Jean Felkel) of Columbia. The bridesmaids are Misses Jewell Rose, cousin of the bride-elect, and Sara Bowen of Blaney; Miss Eulalia Buford of Newberry; Mrs. Elaine Ross Price of West Columbia, Mrs. Lewie Bickley (Martha F. Grubbs) of Columbia, and Mrs. John Geldart (Ann Sprawls) of North Augusta, Georgia. The flower girls are Donna Smith, niece of the bridegroom-elect, and Ann Watson, sister of the bride-elect.
Mr. Jeffers’ best man is Charlie Wooden of Blaney. The usher-groomsmen are Donald Watson and R. O. Watson, brothers of the bride-elect: Lenare Ross, Charlie Emanuel, Bill Thornton, and Lewie Smith, nephew of the bridegroom-elect.
