Mary Branham Mattox was born July 17, 1865 to David Wesley Branham and Kissiah Watts Branham.

Mary Branham Mattox, widow of S. A. Mattox, died this morning, May 1, 1948 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. D. Albert, In Blythewood.
She had been ill for several months, Mrs. Mattox was a member of the Smyrna Methodist church.
Surviving were three daughters, Mrs. J. D. Albert of Blythewood, Mrs. E. F. Fulmer and Mrs. D. S. Fulmer of Columbia; three sons H. J. Mattox and S. A. Mattox of Blythewood, and J. F. Mattox of Blaney; three sisters, Mrs. Sallie Medlin, Mrs. Alice Wilson and Mrs. Mattie Easter of Ridgeway; 37 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow, May 2, 1948 at 4 p.m. at the Smyrna Methodist church by the Rev. M. V. Horne, the Rev. Kirk Smith and the Rev. J. A. Giles.
Active pallbearers will be six nephews, William Medlin, Joseph Nelson, Linder Branham, Jim Hoopaugh, Tom Maddox and Joseph Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers will be; Wilbert Fulmer, J. L. Ross, Sr., Ebley Brabham, C. B. Huckabee, Benny Smyrl, Julius Fulmer, George Fulmer, Donnie Fulmer, Jim Moore, W. J. Jones, Julian Eargle, J. L. Berry, Brooks Koon and Sam Fulmer.
