Sealed bids will be public opened at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, Setember 16, 1947 in the Auditorium of the Hotel Jefferson, Columbia, S. C., for the construction of the following projects:

S. C. Docket NO. 28.244 – FACC Project No. FAGH-266 (3) – Kershaw County – (Bridge, Approach & Detour Work) – U. S. Route 1 – The construction of a 280 ft. reinforced concrete and structural steel bridge over the S. A. L. Railroad and 0.510 mile of graded and asphaltic concrete surface approaches and also a 1.072 mile bituminous surfaced detour road near Blaney. The plans for this this project provide for the use of Alpha spiral reinforcement in the construction of the bridge. This is a patented type of construction and the Department will pay a royalty of Seven (0.07) cents per pound and secure a license for its use in the bridge on this project. The contractor will not be charged for the use of this license. Certified check. Cashier’s check or cash in the amount of $2,000.00 required. Cost of plans $5.00.
