Carrie Lee Goff Ross was born October 20, 1878 in Blaney, the daughter of William Preston Goff and Rebecca Elizabeth McDonald Goff.

1923

On September 2, 1924, Mrs. S. H. Ross was listed in the newspaper article “Columbia Society, Women’s Clubs, Philanthropies.”

On September 3, 1924, Mrs. S. H. Ross was listed in the newspaper article “Columbia Society, Women’s Clubs, Philanthropies.”

1946

On December 30, 1046, Mrs. Carrie Ross was listed as a living sister in the obituary of William Henry Goff.

1947

Carrie Lee Goff Ross, 69, of Blaney, died at midnight last night, June 1, 1947 at her home at Blaney after four months’ illness.

She was a lifelong resident of Blaney. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, S. H. Ross; seven children, Paul Ross, J. G. Ross, Mrs. J. G. Motley, Jr., Mrs. Thelma Knapp, Mrs. Inez Dixon and Woodrow Ross, all of Blaney; and Dr. S. H. Ross, Jr., of Anderson; 33 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Union Baptist church by the Rev. Mr. Partridge. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
