Lawrence D. Kelly

Lawrence D. Kelly was born in Richland county, was the son of Luther E Kelly and Carrie Thornton Kelly.

Lawrence D. Kelly, 53 of 2607 Chestnut Street, who died at Veterans Hospital at 2 p.m., April 26, 1946, after a week’s illness.

He had lived in Columbia all his life. He was a member of Crescent Hill Baptist church.

He was survived by three sisters, Mrs. H. D. Trull and Mrs. Elizabeth Lindsey of Columbia and Mrs. F. J. Ross of Walterboro, two brothers, J. B. Kelly of Columbia and B. P. Kelly of Eastover.

Funeral Services were held from the Crescent Hill Baptist church at 12:15 Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. H. A. Alban officiating. Interment will be in Harmony Baptist Churchyard, near Blaney.

Pallbearers were C. E. Randall, Harry A Cotter, J. H. Ellison, C. E. Newman, J. A. Cox and C. W. Jones.

The body remained at the Dunbar funeral home until the time of the services.
