Columbia College May Day Set For Saturday

Columbia College May Day exercises will take place at 5 o’clock Saturday afternoon on the college campus. These are being held for the first time since 1942.

Margaret Neeley of Columbia will be crowned as May Queen and “Lib” Fitch Green of Lake City will act as maid of honor.

The other attendants are: Merrill Neeley, Denmark: Dot Black, Hilda; Julia Ginn, Columbia; Marion Touchberry, Greeleyville; Dot McLeod, Pinewood; Sara Bowen, Blaney; Idella Fallaw, Ridge Springs; Edyce Jackson, Timmonsville; Norma Chandler, Cades; Mable Singley, Columbia; Martha Meares, Raleigh, N. C.; Inez Dantzler, Eutawville; Lillian Williams, Walterboro; Marion Garvely, Lake City;  Margaret Durant, Hemingway; Miriam McDonald, Floysdale; Anne Jones, Barnwell;  and Sally Rice, Florence.

The public is invited to attend the coronation exercises.
