Homer H. Medlin Killed in War

Tillman R. Medlin of Blaney has been informed by the war department that his son, Pvt. Homer H. Medlin, was killed in action in Belgium January 15.

Private Medlin attended School at Dentsville and Pontiac and entered service in 1941 at Fort Jackson. He was stationed in Iceland for one year and England one year, before going to France and Belgium.

He is survived by his father and one brother, Collins Medlin, serving in the navy.
