Ernest C Kelly, marine from Blaney, S. C., was promoted to platoon sergeant somewhere in the South Pacific. He attended Dentsville high school and later worked for the state highway department before he enlisted in the marines in August, 1940. His mother, Mrs. Bertha Kelly, lives at Blaney.
