Norman L. Hinson

Norman L. Hinson was born August 28, 1917

Pfc. Norman L. Hinson, 502 Marion street, was killed in action in North Africa on November 9, 1942.

Private Hinson is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William J. Hinson of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Mae Hoover of West Columbia and Mrs. Nora Sherman of Portland, Ore., and two brothers, Wilburn Hinson and Luther Inson, both of Columbia.

Funeral services will be conducted, Sunday, June 13, 1948 at 4 p.m. at the Highway Pentecostal Holiness church, Blaney, by the pastor, Interment will be in the churchyard.

Military rites will be rendered at the funeral by a firing squad and bugler from Fort Jackson.

The pallbearers will be members of the American Legion post 6.
