Fort Services Are Announced

Services For All Men Are Scheduled At Fort Jackson

Religious services for Fort Jackson Soldiers will be held throughout the post Sunday. The schedule, as announced by Major Wiley R. Deal, post chaplain, is as follows:

Catholic Masses: 7:30 a.m., chapel No. 16: 8 a.m., chapels No. 14, 11 , 10, 3 , 6 and 7; 8:30 AM, chapels No. 17 and 12: 9 AM, chapel No. 11; 9:30 AM, chapels No. 5 and 16; 9:15 AM, chapel No. 18; 10 AM, chapels No. 12, 10 and 13; 11 AM, chapel No. 8, 11:15 AM, chapels No. 2 and 17.

Additional Catholic services will be held daily, Monday through Saturday, at 4:50 PM, chapel number 17; and at 6:15 PM, chapel number 16. On Tuesday, at 7:30 PM, chapel number 10, Wednesday, at 6:45 PM, chapel number 16; Thursday at 6 PM, shuffle number 11; and Friday, 7 PM, chapel number 17.

Episcopal services for Sunday are to be held at 9 AM, chapel number 13.

Lutheran Sunday services will be at 7:45 AM, chapel number 17; 9 AM, chapel number 14.

Jewish week and services are scheduled for Friday, 7:30 PM, chapel number 10; Saturday, 10:30 AM, chapel number 17, and Sunday, 9 AM, chapel number 10.

Christian science services, Thursday, 7:30 PM, post chapel, number one.

Seventy-seventh division services: 9:30 AM, 305th infantry rec Hall; 10 AM, chapel number 11; 11 AM, chapels number 11, 14, 10, 12 and 13; 7:30 PM, chapel number 10; and 7:45 PM, chapel number 12. Also Wednesday, 7:30 PM, chapel number 10.

Services for station complement and special units: 9 PM, chapel number nine, and stockades number one and two; 9:30 AM, chapel number 17; 9:45 AM, Jackson Homes community Bldg.: 10 AM, Chapelle’s number six, two, four, seven, eight, 15 and 17, and 52nd Med recreation hall; 10:15 AM, chapel number 18; 10:30 AM, chapels number five and 99, 11 AM, chapels number 16 and 18, and Jackson community homes building; 11 AM, chapel number five; 5 PM, chapel number 17; 5:30 PM, Chapel number 17, 7 PM, chapels number one, nine and 18; and 8 PM, chapels number one and 17.

Additional special unit services during the week are conducted: Monday, 6 PM, chapel number 17; Tuesday, 6:30 PM, rifle range, 7:30 PM, chapel number 17; Wednesday, 7 PM, Chapelle’s number nine, eight, 17 AM Blaney CCC camp detachment; Wednesday, 7:30 PM, chapel number 15; Thursday, 5:30 PM, and 7:30 PM, chapel number 17; and Friday, 7:30 PM, chapel number 17.
