Kenneth Hornsby was born on November 19, 1941, in Elgin to Otto Ernest Hornsby and Katherine Wages Hornsby. 

1942

Kenneth Hornsby, nine-months-old, died at the Columbia hospital Wednesday (August 26, 1942) night after an illness of three weeks due to Bronchopneumonia. 

Funeral services will be held at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church near Blaney this afternoon (August 29, 1942) at 4 o’clock, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Hodge of Columbia. Interment will be in the churchyard.

Survivors were his parents, two brothers, Donald Hornsby and Rodney Hornsby of Blaney; his paternal grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. M. H. Hornsby (Dove “Dovie” Motley Hornsby) of Blaney, and his maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs. G. S. Wages (Cora Bell Meetze Wages) of Columbia.
