Evans – Lindsey

Of much interest is the marriage of Miss Mildred Cates Evans to Sgt. William J. Lindsey which was solemnized Saturday evening, April 4, at the home of the bride’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Ross, in West Columbia. Only the members of the immediate family were present for the ceremony. The Rev. T. A. Snyder, pastor of West Columbia, Baptist Church officiated, using the ring service.

The bride wore a navy blue sheer dress, with navy and white accessories, and a corsage of gardenias.

Mrs. Lindsey, the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Evans of Blaney, received her education at Columbia college, where she majored in music. For several years she has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Ross.

Sergeant Lindsey is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Lindsey of Nashville, Tenn. He is with an observation squadron now stationed at Langley Field, Va.
