Adolph Perry

Adolph Perry, 60, well known farmer of the Blaney section, died at his home yesterday morning, April 22, 1940, after an illness of ten days.

Mr. Perry was a lifelong resident of that community where he was a member of Harmony church.

Surviving were one sister, Mrs. Bertha Aiken of Columbia; one brother, Marzie Perry of Blaney, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 3 o’clock, April 23, 1940 from Harmony Baptist church, near Blaney, by the Rev. Roland Hodge of Columbia. Interment followed in the churchyard.

Active pallbearers were: Thruston Goff, A. D. Goff, Ezell Goff, Norman Cook, Malcom Heath and B. K. Rose.

Honorary Pallbears were; J. T. Rose, J. W. Conder, Dr. W. D. Grigsby, J. R. Abbott, J. M. Butler and F. E. Ross.
