Baptist Union Ends Training School Week

There was an average attendance of 301 students for each of the five nights the Baptist training union of the Fairfield Baptist association conducted its school during the past week at First Baptist church.

Largest attendance was from the Cayce, Columbia First Baptist and Park Street churches.

Other churches represented included Eau Claire, Woodfin, Blaney, Shandon, Colonial Heights, Southside, Rosewood, Earlewood, Tabernacle and Spear’s Creek and several Columbia churches of other denominations.

Willard B. Jones of 217 South Ravenel street, association director, said he was well pleased with the work of the faculty which included Mrs. F. T. Cox, Miss Jewel Eddings, Dr. W. L. Williams, the Rev. L. G. Payne, Miss Mamie Wells, Miss Mamie Lawton, Miss Kathryn Sherer, Miss Madge Funderburk, Miss Helena Willis, Mrs. J. H. Reed, Mrs. J. F. Knowlen, Miss Merle Sherer and Mrs. William K Dawson.
