Sallie Grigsby Kelly was born March 26, 1872, to James Grigsby and Charlotte Grigsby of Fairfield county.

Sallie Grigsby Kelly of Blaney died at 3:15 p.m., April 6, 1940.

Surviving were her husband Mr. J. G. Kelly; three sons, Amos Kelly and Norman Kelly, both of Charleston, and Arthur Kelly, of Camden; two daughters, Mrs. Jesse Perry of Blaney and Mrs. Sawyer Boney of Columbia; three brothers, James T. Grigsby of Columbia, Dr. W. D Grigsby  and J. M. Grigsby, both of Blaney; three sisters, Mrs. John Amos of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Mack Lowe an Mrs. Paul Hemmings, both of Welborn, Fla.

Funeral services were conducted at 4 o’clock this afternoon, April 7, 1940 from the Union Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the churchyard.
