Blaney Girl Wins College Honors

High Point, N. C., March 21. — Miss Marguerite McCaskill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. M. McCaskill of Blaney, was recently initiated into the Order of the Lighted Lamp, the honor society of High Point college, at its annual tapping ceremony. Members are tapped on the basis of leadership, scholarship, and character, only juniors and seniors being eligible.

Miss McCaskill, a member of the Senior Class has done outstanding work since her entrance at High Point. She was named as one of the representatives of High Point College in the 1940 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in America.” In a recent election of senior superlatives. Miss McCaskill was chosen as the friendliest and most intellectual girl in her class. She is also serving as president of the Nikanthan Literary Society, and is a member of the International Relation Club and others.
