John Thomas Heath

John Thomas Heath, 65, a farmer of Blaney, died at 7:20 yesterday (February 23, 1940) evening at his home after an illness of four weeks.

Mr. Heath, a lifelong resident of the Blaney section was a member of the Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. J. L. Neeley and Mrs. C. B Waites of Columbia, Mrs. C. S. Shumpert of West Columbia, Mrs. G. E. Brown of Blaney, Mrs. Oliver Bowen of Lugoff and Miss Cleo Heath of Winnsboro; three sons, Sidney Heath, DuPre Heath and Malcolm Heath, all of Blaney; two sisters, Mrs. Janie Goff of Blaney, Mrs. W. T. Wilson of Calhoun Falls.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 o’clock this afternoon (February 24, 1940) from Highway Pentecostal Holiness church by the Rev. L. M. Goude of Camden. Interment will be in the churchyard.

Pallbearers will be: Howell Brown, Lexie Moak, Leslie Moak, Allie Heath, Ezell Goff, and Daniel Jeffers.

Honorary pallbearers: J. D. Bailey, J. D. Watson, Jesse T Ross, Dr. W. D. Grigsby, W. L. Miles and J. E. Jeffers.

On September 8, 1995, John T. Heath was listed as the deceased father in the obituary of Cleo Heath Branham.
