Julia Theodocia Trusedale


Julia Theodocia Truesdale was born August 23, 1858.


Mrs. Julia Theodocia Truesdale, 81, died at her residence at Westville today, January 5, 1940 after an illness of six months.

The widow of the late Willis F Truesdale, had resided in the Westville Community her entire life. She was a faithful member of Damascus Methodist church.

Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. D. A. Phillips, her pastor; the Rev. B. A. Davis, Westville and Rev. J. B. Caston, Camden. Interment in Damascus church cemetery.

Surviving were eight sons, W. T. and M. J. Truesdale, Camden; Sam C., Shelby C., L. L. and G. R. Treusdale, Westville; B. J. Truesdale of Effingham; Coyt Truesdale, Hickory N.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Clotfelter, Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. Etta McClintock. Westville; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Horton, Westville; Mrs. J. A. Mahffey, Swainsboro, Ga.; two bothers and four half-sisters.

Mrs. Truesdale has one of the largest family connections in Kershaw County.
