The W. M. S. of Crescent Hill Baptist church, with Mrs. E. G. Bumgardner as president, was entertained with a social by the John Lake circle, Mrs. W. C. Goodwin, leader, at the recreational hall of the church Thursday evening. Mrs. E. G. Bumgardner won the prize in the contest.

Miss Gertrude Crosland is spending the week-end with Miss Dorothy Hentz at Newberry.

Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Smith, Mrs. R. C. Murphy and Bill Owens are spending this weekend with relatives in Seneca.

Mrs. J. E. Moore visited Mrs. T. C. Thomas and Mrs. George Nye near Lexington Monday.

Misses Eva Peake and Lenora Peake visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charner Peaker in Blaney last Weekend.

W. G. Ford, who was admitted to the Baptist hospital Thursday, is reported to be resting better.
