On Sunday, Mrs. J S Ellis and Mrs. Ella Sanders entertained at a surprise birthday dinner at the home A. K. Bowen, Lugoff, in honor of J. S. Ellis.

Gladiolas and other flowers were used to adorn the rooms. A salad course was served late in the afternoon.
