Cayce People Have Busy Week

The Ladies Aid society of the Baptist church will meet with Mrs. S. B. Bailey at her home Monday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, Mrs. W. H. Johnson will be assistant hostess.

Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Shumpert were guest Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Adams, near Batesburg.

Miss Doris Williams and Miss Louise Johnson were visitors at Myrtle Beach last week.

Guests of Mrs. W. H. Johnson during the weekend were Mrs. A. C. Smith and grandson, Billie Tarver of Savannah, Mrs. W. A. Mason and daughter, Miss Mary Mason of West Columbia. W. H. Johnson of Blaney and Miss Zoe Mason of Columbia.

Hiram and James Manuel of Louisville, Kentucky, are here to spend the summer with their mother, Mrs. Leila Manuel.

Miss Myrtle Johnson of Oswego is spending this week the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus C. Johnson.

Mr. and Mrs. I. K. Dennis and their son, Charles Ray, Misses Annie and Louise Johnson, Talmadge Conner and Clifford Suber were visitors in Charleston Sunday.

Mrs. A. K. Rucker and daughter, Miss Nora Ellen Rucker, Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Joyner, and Miss Mary Louise Johns were Sunday guests of Mrs. Rubye Johns in Bamberg.

Miss Hilda Harrill had as her guests Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brandon and Miss Annie Lou Walters of Greenville.

Miss Dorthy Nelle McElveen of Shiloh, was the weekend guest of her brother-in-law and sister. Mr. and Mrs. I. K. Dennis, I. K. Denis, Jr., returned home with her and will spend sometime with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. McElveen.

Mr. and Mrs. Maylon Ware and their son, Earle, spent last weekend on a fishing trip at Edisto river.

Ed Elliott of Atlanta, was the guest during the week of Mr. and Mrs. S. K. Abbott.

Mrs. A. D. Spires and children, Catherine and Marjorie, are guest of this week of the Rev. and Mrs. F. L. Frazier of Hartsville, at Myrtle Beach.

Miss Flordell Breedlove of Columbia is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Gardner.

Mrs. S. H. Dunn of Maryville, Tennessee, was the guest Tuesday of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Lindsey.

Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Bailey have had as their visitors during the past week, Mr. and Mrs. C C. Hutto of Swansea, Mrs. H. M. Sradley and son, Durant, of Gaston.

Mrs. E. C. Robertson and baby are guests this week of Mrs. Robertson sister, Mrs. B. C. Houck of Cameron, who is occupying a cottage at Saluda, N. C.

Miss Georgia Lou Goodwin with Mrs. Lawrence Rogers of Columbia, spent Wednesday and Thursday, with the former’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe F Fallaw in Gaston.

Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Gardner and their son, Bobby, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Gardner in Dixiana.

Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Cannon have moved into their attractive new home on State street.

Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Kinard are spending the weekend with Mrs. Kinard’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Huffman, at Clinton. They will also visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Setzler at Pomaria, before returning home.

Mrs. Sallie Howell and daughter, Miss Lucille Howell. Mrs. Jimmie Gardner, Mrs. Colie Howell and Berlie Howell attended the funeral of Mrs. Addison in Eastover Tuesday.

Irvin Friday of Fort Bragg, N. C., was the guest Thursday of the Rev. and Mrs. J. H. Reed. Their guest for the weekend are Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Jeter of Greenville.

Miss Mary Catherine Lucas of West Columbia was the guest Thursday of Miss Carolyn Johnson.
