Luther H. Albert was born May 21, 1902 to Adam A Albert and Anna Laura Proctor Albert.
Luther Albert, 36, of 2008 Marion street, an employee of the State hospital, died at that institution at 5 o’clock yesterday evening, June 3, 1938, after an illness of six months. His cause of death was a neoplasm of brain glioma, a type of tumor that occurs in the brain and spinal cord.
Mr. Albert, who had been employed by the State hospital for ten years is survived by his widow, the former Macey Jackson of Asheville, N. C.; three brothers, D. T. Albert and C. E. Albert, both of Columbia, and J. G. Albert of Blythewood; three sisters, Mrs. S. L. Howell of Ridgeway, Mrs. Sallie Sanders of Winnsboro and Mrs. J. W. Wooten of Blythewood.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon from Park Street Baptist church by the pastor, the Rev. Paul Wheeler. Mr. Albert was a member of the Park Street Baptist church and had lived in Richland county practically all of his life save for five years he lived in Gastonia.
Interment will follow in the Union Baptist churchyard at Blaney. The body will remain at McCormick’s mortuary until 7 o’clock this evening at which time it will be removed to his late home.

Bristow, Dr. Roger D. Doughty, H. L. Goldson, W. B. Guy, J. E. Kelly, W. F. Shillito, F. P. Lucius, W. G. Henson, J. H. Crout and Hugh Knight.
The honorary pallbearers are requested to meet at the church promptly at 3 o’clock while the active pallbearers will meet at the home at 2:40.
