Personal Mention

The Rev. J. E. Merchant, Mrs. Merchant and their son, James, have returned to Columbia after a delightful week’s motor trip through Florida. Among the places visited were Silver Springs, Tampa, Miami, Saint Augustine and Jacksonville.

Mrs. W. P. Swygert of 2331 Preston Street had as guests during the week, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Roberts of Killan, Mrs. R. E. Singley and little daughter, Joyce, and Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Swygert, Jr., will return to Washington January 3.

Among Colombians now visiting in Florida are Mr. and Mrs. A. Howard Blanton and their daughter, Miss. Marcella Blanton, who are at Miami.

Lieut. Comndr. G. Bannerman and Mrs. Bannerman left Friday for their home at Annapolis, Md., after spending the holidays, with Mrs. Bannermand’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Brown, at Sunny Side Farm, Blaney.

Miss Audrey McCleary has returned to Annapolis, Md., after spending the holidays with her mother, Mrs. Ruth B. McCleary, at Sunny Side Farm, Blaney.

The Rev. C. M. Dunaway and Mrs. Dunaway have as their guest for the weekend, Miss Pat Bryant of Charlotte, N. C.

Miss Betty Jean Dunaway, a student at Asbury college, Wilmore, Ky., has been spending the holdiays with her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. C. M. Dunaway.

Mr. and Mrs. Marion Meroney of Chicago, Illinois, have returned to their home after visiting the former’s mother, Miss Catherine Meroney, on Elmwood Avenue during the holidays.

Mr. and Mrs. Leighton McRae and Dr. and Mrs. Shelton Sanford of Savannah, Ga. were guest for a New Year’s of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Stubbs at their home on Heyward street.
